Go with the flow..
Choose simple solutions and be an observer rather than a participant in your life events.
Hello my beautiful reader!
This week I would like to dive deeper into what exactly it means when we say “Go with the flow”.
We all have in general an idea about the general flow of life. Like mostly we study first, then go to college, then get a job then marry and start a family. Most people like to work their way up along the corporate ladder ,travel around the world and also maybe build a house.
When we often do some kind of retrospective of our lives ,we see maybe we could have done something totally differently from the knowledge we have today abut those matters. But my dear friend, what has been DONE IS DONE! It’s too late to change anything. Then the question arises, to what extent can we surrender ourselves to the flow of life and how to determine are we going in the right direction or not?
By the way, this past week I released episode 40 and 41.In episode 40 I talked with Brahmpreet Singh on what exactly is content marketing and it’s business significance. Then in episode 41,we got to chat with Lavinia, co founder of Offbeat. We talked on the future of Learning and Development Industry :AI, power skills and some growth strategies. Here are the links for the episode:
Like I discussed in my previous post that our mind is constantly having some chatter going on. Due to which many times it becomes little bit pushy to react to the outside world or often times get distracted from our goals as well. So, to resolve these issues I will like to talk about solutions here by which we can go with the flow and get desired results.
1.Choose the simplest solution available to any problem:
We often have this tendency in our lives that to any problem we think there would be a complex way to resolve this as we all think our problem is very different and unique from others. Again this comes out because of the idea that we all give too importance to ourselves. The moment we detach this importance to our lives and think we are ordinary ,you will see you will start seeing solutions to all the problems. Many times, the simplest effort from your side will resolve everything. Just like walking 30 mins after our meals have a tendency to reduce many health diseases related to poor digestion. So simple ,you just have to walk!
Go with the flow picture above!
2.Be an observer than a participant:
You just have to be an observer in the events of your life than being a participant .Let go off the situation. Become an observer of the events in your life rather than an active participant. Which basically means you don’t have to react and give your energy to every situation. Instead, let it pass by like a beautiful summer evening. Try giving instructions to your intuition and it will come up with amazing solutions for sure. Don’t be in a hurry to take control of the situation. Let it pass and take action by detaching yourself and simple observing it.
Everything can be done a lot more simply than you think! Go and try simplicity.
One last example to end this edition of the newsletter, think you have a list of to do list for the day. You have to decide which task to pick up and which one to put off for later. If there is no such requirement that you have to follow a sequence, then do the task you feel most inclined to finish first. Go with the flow and detach your mind from the outside pressure. It’s all about learning that simple actions are enough to navigate the flow of your life. No need to complex everything. Just go and sit in the auditorium and be an observer. Take actions later when you are bit relaxed.
Warm regards,
Harkiran Brar
